Musical Practices

Musical Practices are in full swing. Today is Friday, so we have officially been practicing for a week. I am enjoying the process so far, but I hope I will still be saying that in a month and a half! There is not a tremendous amount of drama yet except for the casting. Some people were not happy with who got what, blah blah blah. But if that wasn't enough, some people were given Saturday night who others thought should have been scheduled to perform on Friday night. One of the unspoken rules of musical is that the "better" person (or if they are too close the older one gets it) is allowed to have Satuday night, the closing performance. Well this year a lot of leads went to underclassmen. And a senior lead guy is paired with a sophomore girl and a junior lead guy is paired with a junior girl based on the chemistry they have together. So how do you please everyone? You don't!! I think we all need to out on our big kid pants and just deal with it. We might not be thrilled, but seriously. At least you're in the show!
