Beach!!

My family went to the beach this past weekend for the long weekend since we had a day off of school. We left Saturday morning and arrived to our home around noon. This was our first vacation with a) my sister's boyfriend and b) the dog. This made for a very entertaining weekend, as you may have guessed. Overall the 7 of us got along pretty well. Just like any other family we had our quarrels here and there but in the end we made out happily! We spent most of Saturday laying around and recovering from the last few weeks of sanity. (I, however, spent the time worrying about the upcoming week and the things back home that I was missing.) Saturday night we threw some football on the beach and I went for a nice, leisurely run. Its interesting the way I have to be practically forced to run at home, but at the beach I love it! We all slept well that night and absolutely loved sleeping in Sunday morning with no deadlines and no church obligations(a rarity in and of itself). The majority of that day was spent on the beach; the weather was amazing for October! I even got some sunburn. I was more happy about that than I should have been once I figure in all of the threats about skin cancer etc. Monday morning we went to breakfast at a pancake house in Ocean City where we all enjoyed our food imensely. After a few last pictures on the beach and saying goodbye to the Atlantic until summer, we packed back up and headed home to dive back into the stresses of everyday life. We felt slightly more prepared to do so now!
